Sparkle Sunrise

Chapter Two

Harold and Edgar cross the street to the house where they had been watching. At the front door, Harold knocks on the door. After a few knocks, the open finally opens. The person at the door stands at five feet eight inches with black hair and blue eyes. The outfit is a blue T-shirt, black shorts and white shoes.

"Hello?" asked the guy at the door. "Who are you?"

"Vincent?" Edgar asked.

"Like I said! Who are you?!" the guy started to get angry.

"I'm Edgar and this is my partner Harold-"

"Oh, crap! Police!" the guy interrupted, turned around and ran towards the backdoor.

"Get him!" Harold said and ran after the guy whose name was Vincent. Once within close range, Harold tackles Vincent onto the ground.

Vincent activates his Sura which is a blueish ring on his right hand. The Sura becomes a Sword. With the Sword in his right hand, he rolls over and slashes Harold on his right arm.

"He's got a weapon!" Edgar called out.

"Yeah!" Harold grunted as he stepped back a few steps. "I see that!"

Vincent coats his Sword with his blueish Fire Midrash. Once fully coated, he tries to attack Harold with Fire Slash.

Seeing this coming, Harold dodges the slash and punches Vincent in the face. Instead of falling down, Vincent tries to slash again, but is met with an incoming Leaf Wave from Harold.

Vincent uses his Sword to counter with Fire Slash. As he is countering the attack, a Wolf's head comes at him with fangs coated in Wood Midrash energy. The fangs pierce his wrist and he drops the Sword.

The Wolf's head is actually Harold using his Construct to transform parts of body into that of a Wolf's. Before, Harold was only able to transform his entire body to a Wolf, but now with advanced usage, he is able to transform parts of body

As soon as Vincent drops his Sword, Harold rushes towards him and starts to punch him nonstop. The fight is now over. Vincent is knocked out and unconscious.

"How did he know we were police?" Edgar asked.

"You said partner," Harold answered. "And he probably saw us around the police station. And next time, don't use our real names."

Edgar notices the cut on Harold's shoulder is gone and fully recovered. "Where's the wound on your shoulder? I saw him slash you."

"My Construct gives me the ability to recover most wounds." Harold looks at the open door. "Close that door. We don't want any witnesses for what's about to happen."

Stella and Cecilia had just finished eating at the cafe. Right now, they are looking for a place to buy paint. Before paying the bill, Cecilia asks the waitress for directions to a paint store.

"You're looking for paint?" asked someone else before the waitress got a chance to respond.

The mother-daughter duo turn to see who it is. The person in question is a young man in a red T-shirt, a black jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes. Black hair and hazel eyes.

"Oh, yes!" Cecilia answered. "Do you know where I might find some?"

The young man smiles. "Yeah, I do and I'll be happy to lead you there."

"That would be great. Thank you! May I ask your name?"

"Soleil is the name!"

Cecilia extends her hand for a handshake. "I'm Cecilia and this is my daughter Stella."

Soleil raises his eyebrows. "Really? I thought you two were sisters."

"She's too old to be my sister." Stella said.

Cecilia immediately glares at her daughter. "I'm not that old, dear!"

"So!" Soleil said. "I don't mean to interrupt your family time, but would you like me to show you the paint?"

"Sure!" Stella said. "Let's go now before my mom gets mad at me for calling her old." She stands up and gets ready to go.

Cecilia sighs and shakes her head slowly. "My daughter…"

Soleil takes the girls down the street to a store with a roof with the color of fluorescent red.

"Here we are!" Soleil said as he held the door open. "I actually own this place!"

"Oh, nice!" Stella said as she stepped inside.

There is nobody else in the store.

"What colors are you looking for?"

"The artist told me it has to be specifically fluorescent colors. I don't know what that means, but maybe my mom or you know.

Soleil looks around the store. There are many paint buckets of many different colors. "I might have some, but what colors do you need?"

"Seven total! One for each color of the rainbow." Stella answered.

"Let me see." Soleil said as he walked around the store checking for the requested colors. After a few minutes, he finally came back. "I only have one color. Red." He holds up the bucket for Stella to see.

"Mom?" Stella turned to Cecilia. "Is the shade of color that Lucius wants?"

Cecilia looks at the paint bucket. "I think so." She turns to Soleil. "We'll take it. How much for it?"

Soleil smiles. "Well, I'll give it to you for free."

"Really?" Stella asked.

Cecilia quietly stares at Soleil with caution.

"One the condition that one or both of you go to the back with me." He nodded towards a room at the back of the store.

Cecilia slaps Soleil across his cheek. "You pervert! Fantasizing about sleeping with a mom and her daughter!"

"Whoa!" Stella exclaimed. "What's going on?"

"He wants us to sleep with him for the paint!" Cecilia explained and grabbed the paint bucket before Soleil dropped it.

Soleil regains his composure and sees Stella and Cecilia walk out of the store with the paint bucket. "I'll make you regret this!"
